What are the must-have for the first 2 months after having a baby?

Okay- I have a 2 year ancient and we had a shower for him, but we borrowed most of the furniture and I am basically starting over. The only thing I have are clothes, a rocking chair, a diaper genie, and assorted baby items like a wipes warmer and a boppy pillow. What are the necessities for the first 2 months that we need to go ahead and get now? By the way, we are plotting on breast feeding and also using cloth diapers and wipes.
Thanks for any and all help!

A swing is a life saver (most newborns like the ones that swing side to side better) and a vibrating bouncer.
just get everything you had for you first child….if you dont want to spend alot of money on things try finding everything on craigslist
Bum Genius 3.0 cloth diapers
the Swaddle me by kiddapotomus, the fisher price bouncy chair (my kid LOVED it…), if you are going to give bottles the medela swing pump, the fisher price mobile (it has music, projector and turns with a remote… once again baby loved it!!). Once your a small larger you’ll want the halo sleep sack, the fisher price jump a roo, Robeez shoes… Excellent luck…
A breast pump, BPA free bottles and milk storage. Burp rags, receiving blankets. A Pack and Play is a excellent way to save $$$. The nicer version has a built in changing table and cradle. When baby is older you remove that part and use it as a playpen or portable crib.
i found pacifiers to be very helpful.
also a swing or bouncer when you dont want to hold him.
if you plot on being a stay at home parent you might consider a child carrier…it helps so you can do chores.
also you should get diaper rash cream, a thermometer, maybe some teething stuff cause they can teeth early, obviously a place to sleep and sheets. probably a stroller and car seat…
and for entertainment maybe a rattle =]
Napisan (for soaking pooey nappies.. And clothes)
If your using cloth nappies, you’ll need pilchers and fluffies,
Wipes are a want not a need, warm water and a flannel do
and just as well
The job cheaper
Breatfeedin, excellent for you, a pump is excellent to relieve you when you’ve
Got too much milk cranking, perhaps also to express some for your partner to feed bub?
Change table, bassinet, blankees and towels! Towels and flannels are a huge must that I really forgot about untill 2 days before birth, LOL
Car seat, window socks,
A baby bath..pram, Ok there’s alot, but here’s things you certainly DONT need in the first 2 months , a crib, toys, a high chair, dooners, pillows, fancy pants clothes, shoes, etc …. My bub didn’t even go into his bouncer untill 2 months, he despised it before then..
Hope this helps x
You really don’t need much for the first two months.
a bassinet, some blankets/wraps, nappies, clothes, baby bath, burp rags (I always just used new cloth diapers that I cut i half) a pram and a sling and a car seat and that’s all I can reckon of. Oh and of course baby soap and shampoo etc.
May I suggest you “wear” your baby while he’s an infant. I highly suggest you buy a Moby Wrap for your newborn. I guarantee that you will not regret the buy.
Your baby will be so comfortable and secure while sleeps in your chest. You can also breastfeed your baby while in the wrap.
My baby just turned 2 months ancient and she’s carried ( I wear her) most of the time. I can really do house work and play with my nearly 2 year ancient daughter.
check it out and see if this is something you want to invest in!
Or a Baby K’tan.
Also a nice peaceful room for him to sleep in. We place an aquarium in our small ones room and she likes the sound of the pumps. It makes her go to sleep quicker too.
